1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, subscribing to, or using MyAccountBooks, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you use MyAccountBooks for a company, firm, partnership, proprietorship, accountant practice, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization and manage the data you enter or grant access to.

2. Accounts, security, and access

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, device, password, encryption key, recovery information, biometric unlock, and connected storage accounts safe.
  • You are responsible for all actions taken through your account, including entries, deletions, imports, exports, grants, approvals, reimbursements, accountant links, member invitations, and data sharing.
  • You must not share accounts, misuse another user’s account, attempt unauthorized access, bypass security controls, reverse engineer the app, or use the service for unlawful activity.

3. Purchases, subscriptions, founder pricing, and refunds

MyAccountBooks may offer one-time purchases, subscriptions, trials, founder pricing, referral benefits, and partner programs. Prices, taxes, eligibility, store availability, renewal terms, and benefits may vary by country, platform, store, and promotion.

  • One-time purchases: unlock the stated module according to product and store rules.
  • Subscriptions: renew automatically unless cancelled according to the app store or billing provider rules.
  • Founder pricing: where offered, existing uninterrupted subscriptions may keep the founder subscription price while active without a break, subject to store rules and applicable law.
  • Refunds: refunds are governed by the applicable app store, payment provider, consumer law, and offer terms. Except where required by law or store policy, fees may be non-refundable after purchase, trial, or renewal.

4. Your accounting, tax, compliance, and import responsibility

You are solely responsible for checking all entries, imports, reports, tax/GST settings, invoices, inventory records, reimbursements, financial statements, exports, and accountant handoffs before relying on them.

Imports from bank/card/cart statements, old-year books, contract notes, or other files may be incomplete, duplicated, mapped incorrectly, or affected by source formatting. You must review imported data before using it for accounting, tax, filing, audit, or decision-making.

5. Encrypted safety, backups, and loss

MyAccountBooks may provide encrypted storage, local encryption, password-derived unlocking, sync, files, Drive backup/restore, and related safety tools. These are designed to reduce risk, but they do not remove your responsibility to keep devices, passwords, recovery details, cloud-drive accounts, and exported files safe.

If encrypted content depends on your password-derived key or local credentials, losing those credentials may make content unrecoverable. We are not responsible for loss caused by forgotten passwords, device loss, storage-provider issues, corrupted imports, accidental deletion, incorrect grants, or user error except to the extent liability cannot be excluded by law.

6. Data breach, cyber incident, and third-party provider limits

We take reasonable steps to protect the service, but no technology is completely secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for unauthorized access, data exposure, corruption, deletion, ransomware, malware, phishing, credential theft, third-party provider incidents, cloud-drive breaches, app-store/payment-provider incidents, accountant/member misuse, exported-file leaks, screenshots, or sharing outside the app, except where caused by our proven unlawful conduct and where liability cannot be excluded.

If a security incident affects information under our control, our responsibility is limited to taking reasonable containment, investigation, remediation, and notification steps required by applicable law. The service is not cyber insurance and does not guarantee reimbursement for business loss, tax loss, filing loss, accounting loss, profit loss, reputation loss, or consequential damages arising from a breach or security incident.

Report suspected unauthorized access or security issues immediately to legal@myaccountbooks.com.

7. Professional and legal disclaimers

  • No accounting/tax/legal advice: MyAccountBooks provides software tools only. It does not provide professional accounting, tax, legal, audit, GST, company-law, securities, investment, or compliance advice.
  • No investment advice: investment tools, running averages, trade ledger, contract note imports, prices, calculations, or insights are for record-keeping and analysis only. They are not buy/sell/hold recommendations.
  • No filing guarantee: the app does not guarantee that your books, returns, invoices, GST records, tax filings, audit reports, or compliance outputs are correct, complete, timely, or legally sufficient.
  • Accountant collaboration: linking an accountant or partner does not make us responsible for that professional’s advice, conduct, fees, filings, errors, omissions, or client relationship.
  • Reimbursements: reimbursement features help track claims, approvals, payer status, and audit trails. The app does not transfer money, guarantee payment, or verify the legal/tax treatment of reimbursements.
  • Third-party services: app stores, storage providers, payment providers, backend services, accountant services, banks, brokers, exchanges, and import sources are not controlled by us.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use MyAccountBooks to break laws, misrepresent accounts, create fraudulent books, hide unlawful activity, upload malware, violate privacy, infringe rights, attack systems, bypass security, or mislead accountants, employers, employees, partners, tax authorities, or third parties.

9. No warranties and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyAccountBooks is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every device, accepted by every authority, or suitable for every legal, tax, accounting, investment, cybersecurity, or business purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, business, financial, tax, compliance, cybersecurity, data-loss, profit-loss, reputation, opportunity-loss, or filing-loss damages arising from or related to the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to us for the affected service during the 3 months before the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is lower. This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, penalties, costs, and expenses arising from your data, your use of the service, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, your professional/client relationships, your imports/exports, your filings, your grants/permissions, or your sharing of data with others, except to the extent prohibited by law.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service or request account deletion subject to the Privacy Policy, applicable law, and store rules.

12. Governing law and disputes
