Create wallet first
Trades need a wallet/broker context. Add this before adding holdings.
Add clean assets
Use clear symbols and names. Avoid duplicates for the same security.
Record actual trades
Use investment trade flows for buy/sell so holdings, average price, and P&L calculate correctly.
Read portfolio cards
Portfolio should show Invested, Current Value, Total P&L, and Holdings in clear mobile-friendly cards.
Keep prices current
Current value and unrealized P&L depend on price date.
Before you finish, check this
- Wallet and asset are correct.
- Quantity/price match broker record.
- Fees/taxes are included if supported.
- Price date is visible.
- Portfolio cards do not overflow on mobile.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Recording stock buys as normal expenses.
- Creating duplicate symbols.
- Reading current value with stale prices.
- Treating Switch Calculator as an executed trade.
