Detailed guide

1

Create wallet first

Trades need a wallet/broker context. Add this before adding holdings.

2

Add clean assets

Use clear symbols and names. Avoid duplicates for the same security.

3

Record actual trades

Use investment trade flows for buy/sell so holdings, average price, and P&L calculate correctly.

4

Read portfolio cards

Portfolio should show Invested, Current Value, Total P&L, and Holdings in clear mobile-friendly cards.

5

Keep prices current

Current value and unrealized P&L depend on price date.

Before you finish, check this

  • Wallet and asset are correct.
  • Quantity/price match broker record.
  • Fees/taxes are included if supported.
  • Price date is visible.
  • Portfolio cards do not overflow on mobile.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Recording stock buys as normal expenses.
  • Creating duplicate symbols.
  • Reading current value with stale prices.
  • Treating Switch Calculator as an executed trade.
